Our client, a leading British Logistics provider with Headquarters near Solihull are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their expanding team.

As the Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for:
  • Passing Purchase Invoice for payment
  • Daily banking and logging of funds received and applying funds to relevant accounts
  • Transfer of funds between different divisions of the company and any related internal invoicing
  • Reconciling supplier's statements
  • Rejection of supplier invoices when required
  • Maintaining all relevant and applicable sales, purchases ledgers and cash books
  • Preparing and paying purchase invoices for payment on open accounts or BACS
  • Raising auto cheques for CAD Payments
  • Maintaining month end sales, purchases and cashbooks
  • Opening of new suppliers and traders
  • Checking and processing bulk invoices

The successful candidate for the role of Accounts Assistant will have:
  • 1 - 2 years within a similar role previously
  • Studying or working towards a qualification such as AAT
  • A clear understanding of making payments in different currencies including US Dollars/GB Pounds Sterling/Euros
  • The capacity to work in a high-pressure environment whilst remaining calm when under pressure
  • The skill to prioritise a large number of tasks to ensure accuracy, and deliver results with great attention to detail and a high sense of urgency

The successful candidate will receive a basic salary of £20,000 - £22,000pa depending on experience.
