Job Title: Claims Negotiator

Salary: £20,265

Location: Coleshill, B46

Hours: 37.5 hours Monday - Friday 9:00-17:30


Due to promotion and increased workload, we are currently recruiting a Claims Negotiator to work as part of a large friendly team within a well-established business in Coleshill.

You will be required to deliver monthly pledge and cash targets through effective resolution of claims.

Full training will be given, and progression opportunities will be available.

Key Duties:
  • To review case history of assigned claims and liaise with internal departments to establish status.
  • To investigate causes of non-payment delays and resolve efficiently.
  • To update the BackOffice system with accurate clear records of discussions had, next steps and time frames.
  • To discuss all aspects relevant to the claim with the client and 3rd party.
  • In the case of a dispute, you must consult with the relevant team and follow up where necessary.
  • To produce a chronology of events through liaising with 3rd parties in the case of a dispute and make recommendations regarding the next step.
  • To reinforce payment criteria.
  • Press for commitment of payment from third parties.
  • To achieve objectives and targets set.
  • To ensure confidentiality in accordance with GDPR.

Key Skills/Experience Required:
  • Demonstrable high-volume business to business debt collection experience within a fast-paced target driven environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills - both persuasive and assertive.
  • Demonstratable proven negotiation skills
  • Good written communication skills, capturing a clear logical summary of situations.
  • The ability to prioritise, recognising importance and urgency and work to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as support team and department goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrable experience of achieving targets.
  • Competent using MS Office - Word, Excel and Power Point.

The successful candidate will ideally be experienced in a fast paced, target driven environment with debt collection experience and will have excellent verbal communication skills. In return for your hard work, you will earn a starting salary of £20,265.
