We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Sales Project Manager to join a rapidly growing, family-run packaging manufacturing busienss based in Shrewsbury, UK. You will be working within the New Business Development Team supporting the overall sales activity with technical advice, coordinating, designing or creating higher performing solutions to facilitate the onboarding of new products for existing and prospective clients.

Key responsibilities and duties of this role...

* Supporting the team effort energetically to deliver sales growth through helping to create winning solutions to help our clients.

* Scoping out customer requirements, gathering ideas, creating bespoke design and specification, liaising with specials team and evaluating costings.

* Create visuals for customer approval including 3d visual artwork representations and to produce or facilitate samples for customer approval

* Raise specifications for new work to enable manufacture, timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

* Adhere to strict internal new product set up procedure using internal admin systems.

* Liaise with suppliers, sales team and customers and project manage first orders.

* To review any quality issues that relate to product design or set up.

* Ensure that issues are resolved, specifications are updated if required and repeat issues are prevented.

* Develop improved relationships with suppliers of technical packaging to ensure maximum performance and support

* Harness the design capabilities and prototyping of existing suppliers and help to develop new providers

* Download meeting notes and update onto CRM. Escalate all opportunities and record all progress from follow up activity.

The ideal candidate will have the following, skills, attributes and qualifications...

* Experienced within CAD & 3D Software (Solidworks etc)

* Someone who can act as a technical mentor internally, strengthening the sales teams knowledge

* Ability to attend client meetings with a sales person, selling into their 'bespoke' solutions

* Packaging knowledge

* Able to 'challenge' suppliers with packaging solutions etc and potentially source others


* Salary between GBP30,000 - GBP40,000 per annum DOE

* Monday - Friday 08:30 - 17:00
