Return to Practice Nurse | University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust
Summary Return to Practice Opportunity for Nurses Are you a nurse whose UK NMC registration has lapsed? Are you looking to return to practice and re-join the NMC professional register? If the answer is yes, then we are offering an exciting opportunity for you to undertake the Return to Practice Programme for Registered Nurses. The theoretical element of this programme is delivered by the University of the West of England and consists of 6 taught days with clinical placement here with us at the University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust. You will be offered a placement in one of our clinical areas to complete your practice requirements, where you will receive support, supervision and be assigned a sign off mentor. This clinical practice will support your application to reapply for NMC registration. Whilst completion of the programme does not automatically guarantee a permanent post, the Trust is keen to recruit returnee nurses into the most suitable ward or department. You will receive a stipend funded through Health Education South West, 50% is paid near the start of the programme and 50% at the midpoint of the programme. Further information can be found on the Health Education England South West website. To register your interest in the Return to Practice programme, please complete the online application. Your supporting evidence should include why you would like to return to practice and the speciality you would like to return to. Interviews will be held on the 11th July 2019 for candidates wanting to regain their registration as an Adult or Children's Nurse. Please note there will be a calculations and literacy assessment test as part of this process. The next course commences in September 2019 and you will be invited to attend the Trust's corporate induction programme in the week commencing 9th September or the23rd September if you are successful.
