Ringway Jacobs is a leading UK provider of integrated services for highway maintenance and management. They work with their clients to plan, programme and deliver highly efficient services. They have a fantastic opportunity for a Road Safety Engineer to join their expanding team in Crewe. It is an exciting time in the Crewe office as they have secured a 15 year contract with Cheshire East on top of their existing large portfolio of works.

As a Road Safety Engineer you will be responsible for the initiation, planning and implementation of highway, infrastructure, traffic and road safety schemes and carrying out Road Safety Audits. You will analyse engineering problems, provide technical excellence, and provide timely and accurate advice to councillors and the public. You will liaise as required directly with Elected Members, District Councils, and stakeholders and other providers to manage the implementation of allocated programmes of work. You will also assist with the management and provision of technical support for staff dealing with all aspects of the service and provide assistance to the functional leader or Senior Engineer in relation to all aspects covered within the Team and deputise in their absence. Preparation of reports for projects and attendance of meetings is also required.

Essential Experience & Qualities:
• Driving licence and own transport
• Be qualified to carry out Road Safety Audits
• Member of a relevant professional institution - (ICE, IHE,CIHT)
• HNC or NVQ Level in a relevant discipline
• Must live within a commutable distance or be willing to relocate
