The Role.

We are now recruiting for a Class 2 Shunter to join the transport team at our Site in Ross on Wye.

The responsibilities of this role are maintaining the yard to the agreed standards, segregating out the work, liaising with the drivers on a daily basis, helping with the loading of vehicles and movement of vehicles as requested.

The role is likely to suit someone organised with a 'can-do' attitude. You will have a strong personality and communication style to be able to work with the drivers and manage the loading area. Previous experience in this type of environment would be an advantage.

Successful candidates will be required to work rotating shift patterns comprising of early and late shifts. One week you would work Monday to Thursday 5.45am to 4.15pm and Friday 6am to 6pm. The following week you would work Monday to Thursday 4.30pm to 3am and Saturday 6am to 6pm.

  • Ability to receive written and oral instruction and communicate with colleagues in English.

  • Fit and healthy to cope with the physical demands of handling heavy goods.

  • You must have proof of right to work in the United Kingdom.
