(Internal) Technical Sales Engineer / Estimator
Our client are a team of specialist engineers with an amazing portfolio built from their sole focus of creating technical shading systems for extraordinary spaces, collaborating with designers who share their love of inspirational and sustainable architecture.

This Internal Technical Sales Engineer / Estimator role located in Warwick combines internal sales and technical customer support skills with a mechanical engineer background and will appeal to a confident and enthusiastic professional, who is as comfortable training installation Engineers on the technical attributes of their unique Shading Systems, as they are assessing new enquiries or problem solving to find resolutions with customers.
Reporting to the Technical Sales Manager, this position will consist of the following duties:

  • To be a trusted first point of contact for all customers ensuring a high level of satisfaction
  • Generate and issue quotations and liaise with relevant internal departments
  • To receive, clarify and collate customer orders, to ensure accuracy of details prior to manufacture
  • Support customers with technical advice, detailed schematics and other documentation
  • To respond to and resolve all forms of customer enquiry, before and after sales
  • Proactive sales and customer development
  • Provide the best solution for bespoke projects and respond to technical customer enquiries
  • Provide support in resolving customer complaints, including investigation, report writing and offering solutions
  • Run internal product training sessions
  • Modify existing product designs to enhance the product and control issue of drawings for special projects
  • Maintain existing instruction manuals and technical literature
  • Assist with customer communications and also company marketing and technical documentation

The ideal candidate would possess the following:

  • Professional customer service skills and excellent telephone manner
  • Good at administration and problem solving
  • Competent proven skills using AutoCAD, SolidWorks and DBWorks
  • Comprehensive IT skills, including advanced Excel
  • Capable of proficient time management, organised and self-motivated
  • Literate and capable of writing instruction manuals and reports in a clear style
  • Familiar with ERP systems (Business Process Software) and sales order processing
  • Good qualification in Mechanical Engineering
  • Driving License

Standard full-time hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, with ?? hour unpaid break daily.

Competitive salary, pension (min. 2% EE's & 5% ER's contributions on total salary), life assurance, company bonus scheme & 31 days holiday p.a. (pro-rata), subject to a six-month qualifying period. (Standard T&C's during first six months.)
