We are recruiting for a temporary Research Coordinator to work within a leading University to proactively manage and coordinate the projects administration and to assist in the successful delivery of the projects and outputs related to the Energy Materials Group and the Magnetic Materials Group.

The post holder will be required to use high levels of communication, negotiation, organisational, administrative and secretarial skills. The role requires complete confidentiality, ability to work independently, with discretion and the use of initiative. In addition the post holder will be expected to work independently in supporting the academics in the delivery of specific, complex and ad hoc projects and will ensure that all committees are serviced.

Main Duties:
• To act as a first contact point and an information hub for all project enquiries from project partners, academics (School, College and University level), industry and other external stakeholders.
• Provide a professional, highly confidential and quality support at executive level to the PIs
• Coordinate the day-to-day operational activities of the research groups and their projects
• Requisition and ensure deliveries are recorded; maintain up to data on requisitions and deliveries
• Support academics and students to requisition and raise expenses when appropriate
• Set-up and maintain project files and ensure funding bodies rules and requirements are respected and adhered to.
• Work with a wider project team at the University and across the many projects and partnerships to help to deliver project outputs on time and on budget.
• Prepare and submit the regular financial claims and the activity reports for the projects
• Review and integrate on behalf of the project partners the regular financial claims and activity reports to the relevant authorities.
• Coordinate all visitors' access to the University systems, from the initial stages of invitation letters, visa requirements by liaising with the Operations Officer in the School.
• Prepare all necessary paperwork for partners meetings, participate in meetings and take minutes; ensure all necessary information is available for relevant parties prior to meetings.
• Organise hospitality events and travel schedules associated with the Centre's members' work, including identifying and booking suitable accommodation, equipment and hospitality, organising invitations, delegate lists, preparing event programmes, agendas and delegate packs etc. Ensure that events and travel are managed within budgets.
