Join a large, national organisation who are well known across the UK, to lead a Purchase to Pay project, reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner. The role will be based in Birmingham, with some travel to regional offices to deliver training.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that purchasers and approvers are equipped with the knowledge and skills they need to adhere to the organisation's purchase to pay policy, driving significant improvement in compliance
  • Update and summarise the organisation's training and engagement plan, visiting locations around the UK to train users on correct procedures
  • Liaising with the Head of Procurement, Finance Systems Manager, and Head of Business Processes to devise and implement solutions where existing processes do not work for certain suppliers/ types of supply
  • Working with Procurement to agree streamlined ordering and invoicing processes with some of the charity's key suppliers
  • Documenting all project activity and producing summary reports for the CFO and Executive Board, supported by KPIs produced by the Finance Systems Team

The successful candidate will:

  • Have strong experience of working in a finance function, and of devising and delivering training
  • Be confident and experienced delivering training of system based processes to a wide range of staff
  • Have maintained project documentation, with a disciplines approach to recording information
  • Be highly capable of producing training materials in a user friendly format
