My client are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer with experience in fitting doors within the after-sales team.

Salary - £25,000 to £25,000 this role will come with a van and tools.

It is a pre-requisite that After Sales Maintenance Engineers be experienced in the techniques associated with fitting door sets and frames. It would be advantageous to have experience in assembly and manufacture door and Window products.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Attend sites and properties when requested by the Line Manager to resolve reported problems including full door and frame replacements.
  • To provide an effective and efficient after sales maintenance service and on site support to social housing and new build customers that are experiencing problems with our products.
  • Evaluate and resolve on site problems regarding fitting and replacement of goods.
  • Comply with site safety regulations at all times and set a positive example in all health and safety matters and carry an up-to-date Construction Skills Certification Scheme ( CSCS ) card with you at all times
  • Ensure the company vehicle is maintained in a clean, safe and roadworthy condition, in accordance with the Employee Handbook section entitled 'Information for Drivers of company Vehicles'.
  • Ensure tools are maintained and kept in good working order.
  • Foresee possible problems with jobs that are scheduled and report to the Line Manager
  • Ensure that vehicle stock items are managed to ensure a minimum service level and thereby eliminate the need for a return visit to a customer.
  • Ensure adequate materials are available for the job scheduled.
  • Ensure remedial works are carried out in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure Engineer Jobsheets are completed with a detailed report of work undertaken and send completed paperwork to the Line Manager promptly by email wherever possible.
  • Provide a good level of customer service in all situations
  • Ensure you follow the correct work procedures and perform at an optimum level.
  • Ensure all work is conducted in a cost effective manner.
  • Ensure you promote a positive and professional image to our customers and their clients/tenants.
  • Overnight stays will be required as necessary.
