An exciting opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join a growing construction group based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.

SWG Construction requires an experienced Estimator to join their construction team. This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate who is looking for a challenging career and playing a vital part in securing new build and refurbishment construction projects.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have, or be working towards completing, a relevant degree and will also have gained experience in a similar role within the construction industry.

Skills/ Experience:

To be considered for the role you must have at least three years' experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor.

The successful candidate will possess excellent IT skills and be proficient in the use of Excel. Experience of estimating software would be beneficial (in particular Eque2 Evaluate) but training will be provided. You should be able to work independently and effectively to adhere to tight deadlines and be flexible in working additional hours when necessary. You will possess good knowledge of construction methods and materials and be able to produce bills of quantities from tender documents and drawings.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to liaise confidently with Clients, suppliers and subcontractors.

In return, you will receive a negotiable salary dependent upon experience, a company pension and generous holiday entitlement.
