Technical Sales Business Development Manager


Up to GBP40k Basic (DOE) + Tiered Bonus

Our client is a well-established Engineering brand that has developed key relationships, both in the UK and Globally. In recognition of their strong brand and continued growth, we're recruiting for a Technical Sales Business Development Manager to join their sales operation.

Ideally, you'll have Engineering Sales experience within Automotive, Aerospace, Oil/Gas, Rail, Medical, Defence or Industrial businesses. You'll become an integral part of the operation supporting the wider sales operation. You should be able to demonstrate a natural flair to influence the best outcome for their clients through quotations, knowledge and technical advice.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is established in this field and is looking further their career in a specialist field.

In this role you will:

  • Search for new clients and maximise sales revenue

  • Develop and maintain client relationships

  • Negotiate quotes and contracts

  • Provide aftersales support

  • Maintain internal CRM system

  • Deliver technical presentations

  • Forecasting and reporting MI

  • Attend industry functions to keep abreast of technical innovation and new market trends

  • Manage Social Media, advertising and press release

The Candidate

For this role you will need to:

  • Have technical knowledge of an Engineering nature

  • Planned and organised

  • Understand budgets

  • A quick thinker to resolve issues

  • Good IT skills

  • Professional qualifications are desirable

  • Have strong commercial and negotiating skills.
