Our client, a multi national waste to energy / renewable energy company is currently looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to join their well established CHP team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a passionate, friendly and successful CHP business development team in the north of the UK.

Where you'll work

The successful candidate will work within a Combined Heat and Power (CHP) part of the business. The CHP team are a specialist designer, installer and operator of CHP. They are responsible for delivering energy efficiency to a wide range of applications, including district heating.
The successful candidate will play an integral part in developing and securing new business through profitable growth.
You will respond to initial sales and technical enquiries from external customers, produce feasibility reports and manage budgets and proposals as and when required. You will visit consultants, contractors, developers and end-user customers across the UK to attend to sales enquiries, meetings and carry out site surveys.

The experience, qualifications and skills you will need

*Strong engineering background and previous experience in managing large projects, opportunities and tenders in a sales environment.
*You will ideally have commercial and technical knowledge of the Combined Heat and Power industry.
*Proven communication and interpersonal skills (face to face, verbal and written) are essential.
*The ability to demonstrate strong business acumen including a thorough understanding of Commercial Terms and Conditions as well as a thorough understanding of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
*Ability to focus on individual objectives and goals while also working as a part of the team.
*Ensure high-quality service to all of our existing and potential customers at all times.
*Have a positive impact by handling all enquiries promptly, ensuring Customers, contractors and colleagues receive a friendly and efficient response which accurately meets their expectations, and to liaise with internal and external Customers in a professional and polite manner.

The role involves substantial travel across the north and North West of the UK. The ideal candidate should, therefore, be located in the NW region of the country. The ideal candidate will be available to work as and when required to suit work schedules - this could occasionally involve weekend working or travelling abroad. In return, we will offer you the flexibility to work from home when the travel is not required.
In return the company are looking to offer a salary of 50k - 60k plus bonus, company car, laptop and phone.
