HR ADVISOR REQUIRED STOKE-ON-TRENT AREA - 3 TO 6 MONTH CONTRACT

37.5HRS PER WEEK

SALARY UP TO £30,000

This role will be based in Stoke, however will the candidate will need to be able to travel due to business demands i.e. Birmingham. London sites on the odd occasion etc...

Our client is looking for someone who has had a lot of experience with TUPE and with a high case load management.

Key Purpose:

To work as an integral member of their team, providing support to the team and your designated business area, by providing business focused, commercial advice, guidance and support.The focus of your work will be to promote positive employee engagement at work and to proactively work with senior managers to achieve the highest standards of people performance. To ensure the management of our employee is fair and ethical, in accordance with the Companies values and principles.

Key duties and tasks:

•Provide professional advice, guidance and support to the team and business managers.•Supports the team and managers in the review of correspondence or reports relevant to employee relations issues.•Supports and guides managers in investigations and hearings in grievance and disciplinary matters.•Support the Manager in the delivery of related training to managers.•Maintains a full understanding of the requirements of the business, assist the Manager to ensure these are reviewed at regular intervals, taking account of ongoing change.•Assist the manager on the case management of Employment Tribunal claims.•Establish clear communication mechanisms.•Maintains a full understanding of policies and procedures and those of our Clients where applicable.•Contribute to the delivery of best people management practice, particularly in equal opportunity and cultural diversity.
Experience required:•Minimum 2-3 years' experience •Educated to degree level or equivalent and/or CIPD qualified, or willing to work CIPD qualification.•Demonstrates a track record in successfully advising and guiding management on all aspect of people management practices.•UK employment legislation knowledge, TUPE experience (basic understanding) and Union experience.•Experience of change management and business reorganisations.•Has an eye for detail and can demonstrate the ability to work to deadlines across multiple projects simultaneously.•Able to multi task and prioritise workload independently.•Able to work flexibly and adapt to changing business conditions.•Excellent communication skills (oral and written), Influencing and negotiation skills. Able to make presentations, give advice and communicate effectively.•Ability to work collaboratively within in team environment. •Competent in the production of reports, statistical analyses, and communications.•Full driving licence (may not be essential for central London roles).
