Do you want to work for and make a real impact on a GBP130m turnover, private equity backed, international healthcare business, which specialises in the development, manufacture and distribution of diagnostic products which has doubled its revenues in the last 5 years?

We are looking for a creative Content Specialist who can take technical scientific information and translate it in to simple, concise, grammatically correct and above all, engaging content. The goal is to create a single voice across all of our marketing channels, including digital and traditional, championing the company's brand and ensuring brand consistency.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Edit, proof-read and improve written content for both digital and traditional channels, ensuring clarity and accuracy
  • Creation and implementation of a content calendar and delivering a content strategy that aligns with the company's commercial goals
  • Content creation for digital and traditional channels including social media management, SEO optimised website copy, engaging campaign content, product literature and printed materials
  • Work closely with the Media Production specialists to create engaging and informative video content
  • Collaborate closely with Regulatory Affairs and Medical/ Scientific teams to ensure legal & regulatory compliance of all content

Person Specification:

  • English, Marketing or Journalism related degree
  • Typically, 4-6 years of relevant experience in digital content marketing preferably in the biotechnology / life science / pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience of writing creative content to drive engagement and growth
  • Experience owning and managing a content calendar
  • Experience managing and coordinating projects for different target audiences
  • Highly articulate with an excellent command of written English
  • Very creative, with the ability to conceive interesting ideas for content
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written, presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook as a minimum)
  • Experience of Google and/or Adobe analytics.
  • Ability to develop strong stakeholder relationships (internal and external)

Desirable:

  • Marketing qualification
  • Medical or scientific qualification
  • Experience of marketing in regulated markets, especially biotechnology or pharmaceutical
  • Experience of international markets and marketing across subsidiary organisations
  • Understanding of how technology is changing marketing and the diagnostic & therapeutic markets
