Hygiene Operative
Permanent role

We are recruiting Hygiene Operative for one of our key food manufacturing customers. This is a large site and is part of one of the UK's largest food groups.

Your main role will be to clean general areas including sinks & walk ways, general housekeeping of surrounding areas. Ensuring areas are clean, deep cleaning of some areas in line with the company standards including Allergens & Organic processes. This includes foam cleaning and sanitising of, deep cleaning of walls, floors and drains.

Job role / duties
•Health and Safety Compliance - ensure you and your working areas always adhere to Health and Safety policies and procedures.
•Completion of Safety & Hygiene documentation, ensuring the hygiene equipment ( floor scrubbers & steam cleaners ) complies with both Health & Safety and food Safety requirements prior to start.
•Ensure correct chemicals are being used for each task, are being dosed at the correct strength, secured on a bund during use and storage as per procedure.
•Ensure that clean bins and dirty bins are clearly segregated, and that each bin has the appropriate status label attached
•Maintain Company hygiene and statutory hygiene standards throughout designated areas, by adhering to all cleaning schedules and instructions, working within the principles of GMP and adhering to site standards
•Lead and support improvement initiatives with your team on areas in line with your job scope. There should be emphasis on Continuous efficiency improvement, whilst maintaining Quality standards

To be considered you must have:

•Experience of working within a manufacturing environment, preferably in FMCG
•Level 1 Food Hygiene
•Safe Working with Chemicals
•Health and Safety Awareness
•Attention to detail in all tasks
•Adherence to company policies and procedures
•Allergen awareness and understanding
•Basic knowledge of machinery
•Good communication skills both written and verbal
•Basic computer skills

Located on the Shropshire/Staffordshire border this role is commutable from Stafford, Newport, Telford and surrounds
