Due to expansion, Empowering Learning are looking for an inspirational teacher of Food Technology to join our forward thinking, innovative and welcoming SEND school in Tamworth.

The successful Food Technology teacher will join a hard working and dedicated SEND School department from September 2019 and will be required on a temp to perm basis. They will be responsible for delivering engaging Food lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

We are looking for a passionate teacher that has high standards of teaching and learning and also has experience of working with SEND students.

The school is a Pupil Referral Unit that supports the learning of students who reside in the Tamworth area. It is a Staffordshire Local Authority school which works in close partnership with the schools and the various alternative providers in the town. It is currently a single site school based in the area of Kettlebrook in Tamworth. They have very good facilities although on a small scale. The classes are small to enable each student to make quick and rapid learning progress in their social and academic studies.

What we're looking for

Ideally with a background within SEND and SEMH and qualified / experienced in teaching Food Technology to GCSE Level.
