Location: West Midlands (with national travel)

Salary: £40,000 - £65,000

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking Project Manager(s) on behalf of one of our clients who are a specialist construction contractor with an ever-increasing order book. They are keen to meet with and employ enthusiastic and dedicated individuals who are prepared to work hard and live away from home for extended periods of time whilst working on site.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Managing, communicating and implementing Health and Safety processes, objectives and rules inclusive of CDM co-ordination.
  • Providing effective and clear communication of the overall objective of the project to all members of the team. Establishing clear lines of communication including good project monitoring and reporting.
  • Liaising and interacting/communicating with the project stakeholders. Develop good, long-lasting relationships.
  • Establishing and implementing the Company's overall strategy for the successful delivery of the project with the Project Director.
  • Appreciating the overall project objectives and identifying the opportunities available to deliver the optimum solutions.
  • Identify and select supply chain inclusive of the appropriate strategies, processes and procedures for the effective management of all aspects of procurements alongside the Project Director and Commercial Director.
  • Managing the production overview, weekly outputs and understanding casting methodology.
  • Signing off First Casts and First Sign Off with the Client.
  • Assisting with commercial management in conjunction with the QS; including establishing and agreeing cash flows, payment milestones and terms & conditions. Subsequently managing the company's critical activities, influencing the commercial position and performance of the project inclusive of variations, change control and commercial agreements.
  • Design responsibility, maintaining control of and delivering required design deliverable in conjunction with company Design Manager/ Coordinator where applicable.
  • Establishing company design protocol and delivering strategy.
  • Progressing and programme monitoring/ establishing of the programme, inclusive of milestones, short term programmes, programme logic and critical interdependencies.
  • Setting high standards for quality of information, service and the end product.
  • Managing and guiding the project team inclusive of, establishing and communication personal goals, objectives and principles for the safe and successful delivery of the project and for the development of the individual.
  • Reporting and liaising with the Project Director and Board on project status, key issues and performance objectives.
  • Establishing, identify and implementing project specific processes for monitoring performance, productivity and quality throughout each phase of the project.
  • Establishing, identify and implementing relevant specifications and standards.
  • Implementing a project specific quality plan.
  • Leading and attending key stage project review and weekly project meeting through all phases of the project; tender, procurement and construction.

Salary: £40,000 - £65,000
