KGD are a UK based Engineering company specialising in the design and manufacture of packaged process plant, equipment and pressure vessels for the oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation and food industries. We have an extensive customer base that is local, national and international.
Due to major expansion and increase in our current workload, we are seeking to recruit a full time experienced Project Engineer / Draughtsman to be based at our Hereford factory.
The role will be the management of complete projects from the initial request for quotation through design, procurement, manufacture and delivery. There will be crossover into all other areas of the business to ensure cost effective, on-time delivery, of complex solutions, manufactured to the highest quality and all the necessary industry standards.
The successful applicant will possess the following skills and qualities:
• Trained Engineer with a minimum of 3 years' experience working in an Engineering environment (Experience in Piping Installations and Packaged Equipment an advantage).
• Proficient in Autocad/Inventor drawing advantageous
• Good communicator both internally and externally including liaising with customers and suppliers on all matters to ensure delivery to agreed timescales.
• Be able to read and understand technical drawings (P & ID) with a strong understanding of engineering principles, fabrication techniques and the relevant quality standards.
• Assist with the preparation of detailed design concepts for customer approval based on customer supplied specifications.
• Prepare fully costed budgets and maintain accurate costs throughout the life of the projects via purchase order control and detailed manufacturing schedules.
• Excellent organisational and IT skills (MS Office) are required, and your experience will have equipped you with the knowledge and understanding of engineering manufacturing processes, procedures, controls and necessary quality standards.
• Self-motivated, reliable and able to complete tasks without supervision.
• Show a willingness to be helpful, enthusiastic and flexible.
