The Team

The Digital Team is a specialist function that supports and delivers best in class online experiences across the GBG business. The Digital Team is comprised of both digital marketing professionals and in-house website developers, working together to meet the needs of prospects, customers and business partners.

The role

Working alongside GBG's existing developer community, your role will help shape the future of digital experiences across 4 of GBG's websites, 2 built on Umbraco and 2 on Wordpress. You will enjoy full development autonomy for these websites, working between designers, UX experts and the broader IT community to maintain and enhance their presence, bringing your expertise and ideas to optimise the role they play.

What you will do

You will:
  • Be part of a team of developers and digital marketing professionals, working together to deliver quality solutions at pace
  • Adopt a professional approach and behaviour when dealing with the business community
  • Stay up to date with emerging innovations and technology trends
  • Support server and domain administration - technical configuration, maintenance and fixes
  • Ensure compliance with the latest security and accessibility standards

To be successful, we are looking for

  • C# .NET / ASP.NET / Razor / Umbraco
  • HTML5, CSS (LESS / SASS), JavaScript, build systems (e.g. Gulp, Grunt)

  • CMS experience (Umbraco and/or WordPress)
  • Working knowledge of SEO and best practices
  • Angular, PHP
  • Google Tag Manager & Google Analytics
  • Experience of email marketing, template coding and automation

  • Analysing and Interpreting
  • Technology Comprehension
  • Supporting and Co-operating


This role is ideally based in our Worcester office, but GBG does have core UK offices additionally in Chester and London as potential options. The marketing team is split across these three UK locations, with international team members also.

There is an occasional need to travel throughout the UK as required to complete this role. Flexibility to work from home / remotely is standard within the digital team
