Our client is currently recruiting for the post of lab assistant. Our client are leading manufacturers of various powder and adhesive products for the construction industry.
The main role will be to support and assist the Lab Team and to carry out general lab duties:
Collecting incoming raw materials, and finished products.
Inputting results on to a computer and filing of paperwork etc
We are looking for someone who has an eye for detail and is able to carry out their workload to set procedures.
The suitable applicant will have:
Excellent organisation and communication skills
Good record keeping skills
Some laboratory practical skills
Manual handling required.
Understanding and working capability of Microsoft Word & Excel
Being able to work as part of a team
Desirable: Background experience in Quality Control
Hours of work will be 0830-1700 Monday to Friday with 30 minutes break, working hours are 37.5 per week. A degree of flexibility when needed
Salary £19,000 per annum dependant of experience and ability.
