We are looking for a dedicated and diligent teaching assistant who has an exceptional academic background who holds a maths degree with a 2:1 and above . You will be a high calibre mathematician who wants to share and explore their passion for the subject with students of all levels. You will have the ability to be able work on a 1:1 basis or within a small group, supporting low ability and gifted and talented pupils. You will have the opportunity to help the pupils tackle aspects of the curriculum and prepare for exams when required with a supportive and professional manner and help create engaging and exciting lessons. You will quickly understand the requirements of the curriculum as you assist the teacher with lesson planning and preparation on a weekly basis.
Experience as a tutor or academic mentor would a positive skill or but not essential. You will need to be a Maths graduate who wants to support and gain experience within a successful Maths department. Do you have the determination to succeed in education and want to develop into an outstanding practitioner one day then this position could be for you.

The School is located Warwick city centre and has main public transport links so very accessible when commuting each day. The school has been graded 'OUTSTANDING' in its recent OFSTED report and has a highly respected in the local community. The school are looking for a maths teaching assistant who can join a well establish and supportive maths department who will have a positive attitude and adaptable nature towards the departments learning ethos.
You will be assisting class teachers daily with a different range of duties, plan a variety of lessons, have the opportunity to work with the low ability students on a one to one basis and help raise attainment and encourage the students to enjoy maths. This is an exciting opportunity to gain some experience in a secondary school setting, especially if you are considering a career in teaching.
