Our client has an opportunity for a SQL Server Developer to join the team based in Pembridge. You will work on a full time, permanent basis and be paid a salary of £45,000 - £50,000 per annum.

Our client is a global market leader in the manufacture and supply of premium high performance rigid insulation within the building services sector. They are now looking to recruit a SQL Developer to work across the division, to be responsible for helping to support the organisation's applications, systems and users. You will have strong SQL Server development skills and preferably originate from a systems analysis background.

They are seeking an enthusiastic SQL Server Developer with experience in a commercial environment to join the BI team and continue the support and development of production solutions to further the business objectives of the company. You will be a developer who has extensive data warehousing experience and is an expert in writing complex T-SQL queries and stored procedures to satisfy ETL and reporting requirements.

Key responsibilities of their SQL Server Developer:

- Work closely with the Divisional BI Manager to plan, schedule and monitor own work in order to meet business needs

- Develop, implement and optimize stored procedures and functions using T-SQL

- Review and interpret ongoing business reporting requirements

- Propose , discuss and evaluate potential solutions with the team and implement agreed modifications or workarounds as directed

What they're looking for in their SQL Server Developer:

- Experience of Microsoft SQL Server 2008-2017

- Experience of Microsoft BI stack: SSIS, SSAS and SSRS (2008-2017)

- Development of high quality database and data warehouse solutions

- Analyse existing SQL queries for performance improvements

- Knowledge of indexing and partitioning

- Understanding of dynamic as well as static SQL

- Ability to analyse Execution Plans and make appropriate recommendations for performance improvements

- Build appropriate and useful reporting deliverables

- Knowledge of Kimball's dimensional modelling techniques and data warehousing

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels of the business

- Writing specification documents for technical/and non-technical projects

- Educated to degree level or equivalent
