Due to expansion, Kingscroft have been asked to recruit on behalf of a growing manufacturing company for an experienced Electronic Engineer. Working within the company's small research and development team, the candidate will be based in my clients Dudley offices. The Electronic Engineer will report to the R&D Manager and will have responsibility throughout the manufacturing process, from concept stage right through to factory hand over. This Electronic Engineer will have a key role within the team and will cover a range of duties from building prototypes and table top rigs, to conducting product safety testing on new designs. For experienced Electronic Engineer candidates, a competitive salary will be offered, along with the chance to develop and grow within a global manufacturing business.

  • Conducting performance, durability and safety testing on new designs.
  • Building specifications and test plans for manufacturing.
  • Working closely with the purchasing team to source components and monitor costing.
  • Designing solutions and new concepts for the battery management system, taking into consideration different international standards.
  • Liaising with relevant teams to direct battery design tasks (Testing, Manufacturing, Suppliers and Component Engineers).
  • Developing PCB Designs from prototype to end product using OrCAD Suite.

Experience needed:
  • Degree in a relevant field - Electronic/Electrical/Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience within a hardware engineering role.
  • Experienced in model-based development languages such as Matlab or Simulink
  • Track record of taking ownership of small to medium sized projects.
  • Experienced in DFMEA for Electrical Systems.
  • Able to liaise and communicate with various departments both internally and externally.
  • Skilled fault finder and ability to act quickly to repair.
  • Develop PCB designs from prototype to end product.
  • Knowledgeable of battery management system and safety requirements.
