Job Description:

The role of European Customer Service Administrator will sit within a busy and varied sales and customer service office; to form an integral part of the workings of the business. Ultimately the role of European Customer Service Administrator is to provide customer service support to the sales activities within the European Region.

The European Customer Service Administrator is responsible for the input and chasing of orders, processing of sample requests (both standard and custom), administrative support to the field sales teams and distributors in the aforementioned markets.

The duties of the European Customer Service Administrator:
  • Process orders from initial quotation to dispatch and track progress using an internal information system.
  • Respond in a timely manner to customer enquiries via email, fax and telephone
  • Liaise with the customer regarding the organisation of shipments from weekly warehouse schedules
  • Collate reports for shipments; monthly and annual figures
  • Update and maintain customer records including discount payment terms
  • Support the credit control process, using foreign language skills as required
  • Provide ongoing support to overseas sales managers based in the relevant markets
  • Liaise with departments internally to the UK operation to meet customer expectations
  • Undertake occasional travelling to respective markets and Trade Fairs of responsibility on an 'ad hoc' basis.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Fluent German speaker although not essential would be beneficial
  • Shipping and administration function within a warehouse and distribution environment
  • Excellent PC skills, including the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Customer service experience
  • Good standard of administration skills
  • Grades A* - C in English and Math

Hours: Monday to Friday - 8:45am till 4:45pm

Salary: £19,000 - £23,000 per annum DOE and/or language skills
