Are you a Registered Manager or Deputy Registered Manager looking for the next step in your career wanting to work in a beautiful rural setting just 5 minutes from Malvern and close to the A4?

You would be working in both a school and residential provision that provides a caring and safe environment for children up to the age of 19 of mixed gender with special educational needs and learning disabilities (including Autistic Spectrum Disorders) and the associated challenging behaviours.

We are looking for a Registered Manager to aim and provide the people with a great place to work, where they feel valued by listening, developing and rewarding them.

Job Description

We are looking for a Full time Registered Manager to lead a residential home ensuring that the young people in our care receive person centred care in a safe and nurturing environment.

You must have at least 4 years' experience in a position relevant to the residential care of children and worked for at least 2 years in a role requiring the supervision and management of staff working in a residential care role.

Full Time - Salary: GBP33,000.00 to GBP38,000.00 /year

Some of the key accountabilities you will be responsible for will include:

Safeguarding-ensuring the safety of our residents and those around them
Leading the Care team in delivering 'Outstanding' ratings with Ofsted and other relevant inspectors
Leading a team- that works adhering to the home's way.
Building the capabilities-of yourself and others
Business Development- ensuring that the home has a positive business future

Key tasks you will undertake will include:

Managing budgets, resources and overseeing the general running of the home
Lead a team that build and maintain appropriate positive relationships with young people, outside agencies and professionals and colleagues
Lead in the introduction of the PBS framework
Lead the care team in the development of clear policies and practices for effective care
Produce monthly reports to be submitted to the Executive team
Attend weekly Senior Leadership meeting
Undertake 'on call' duties
Undertake the responsibility of safeguarding lead

Skills Required:

The ability to lead a team inspiring and enthusing people to make things happen
Strong influential communication skills
Ability to work independently
Ability to forge strong working relationships
Strong demonstrable leadership skills
Strong written and oral communication skills.
The ability to work to strict deadlines, work well under pressure and communicate with all staff including the Executive team.
Strong safety focus
Demonstrable experience in managing change

Qualifications/Work Experience

Diploma Level 5 in Children and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent) or working towards
NVQ Level 4 in Leadership and Management (or equivalent)
At least 4 years work experience working with Children and or Young People within a residential environment
At least 2 years' experience of operating in senior level role
