An opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Team Leader to join our well-established client based in Bridgnorth, Shropshire. Our client is fast developing business in the renewable energy sector that enables food manufacturers the opportunity to dispose of food waste in an environmentally friendly manner. This role is Permanent after a successful probationary period for the right candidate.
Reporting to the Operations manager you will learn to manage a team so as to achieve the company's goals.

As a Trainee Team Leader your duties will ultimately include:

- Monitor workers on site during production activities to ensure adherence to ethics and safety procedures.
- Motivate workers to enhance production quantity, ensuring that staff work safely and efficiently.
- First point of contact for any Health & Safety Issues from your team.
- Keep records of equipment's, budgets, deliveries and supplies, and make them available to management for evaluation.
- Create a work schedule for workers, take attendance to ensure regularity and promptness of workers to duty.
- Inspecting materials for any contamination, unloading and loading deliveries and collections using a fork lift truck. Loading waste into machinery. Ensure targets and deadlines for processing are met and secure site after shift completion.
- Duty to record and report any Health & Safety matters.
- Update team training records, communicating any concerns and policies among management and team members.
- Write SOP's as and Risk Assessments as and when required and Participate in management meetings.

An ideal Production Waste Team Leader you will hold the following skills and experiences but as a trainee you will be given opportunity the learn these skills on site if you do not already have them :

- Previous experience as a Team Leader in an Industrial working environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety law in the workplace.
- Ability to give directions to team members.
- Good time management skills.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills to relate with all members of the team.
- Fork lift licence is essential to this role.
- First aid qualification or willingness to undertake training.

The working hours of this role are double days, Monday to Friday 6am till 2pm and 2pm till 10pm

In return you will receive a starting salary of GBP9.59 per hour and the following benefits:
