Technical Pre Sales Consultant- ERP

Location Independent role. Salary up to GBP75K base, GBP95K OTE, plus car allowance and comprehensive benefits.

The Technical Pre Sales Consultant- ERP will perform a combination of office and site-based activities to support technical pre-sale engagements for a leading erp company's cloud-based and on-premise solutions. Responsibilities include the completion of appropriate tender documents (e.g. ITT, RFI). You will also deliver technical presentations and consultancy services to prospects and customers during Pre-Sales phases of the Sales cycle, to demonstrate how technology can be used to support the solutions in line with the customers' requirements. The role will require close liaison with the Sales team to facilitate presentations of the technical architecture for solutions and products proposed.

What you will do:

* Delivery of prospect and customer technical and cloud pre-sales presentations, in person, on telephone, or other medium

* Serve as the technical lead and owner of technical deal strategy

* Collaborate with Account Executive teams to uncover customer business goals, needs and pains

* Tie business problems to technical solutions and understand technology value propositions

* Relate complicated concepts to non-technical people in an appropriate manner, while maintaining the ability to speak to highly technical people

* Respond to technical questions raised in ITTs / RFIs documentation as requested by prospects, customers and the sales team

* Articulate the benefits of their Cloud solutions and work with prospects and customers to agree requirements

* Gain some understanding of technical aspects of partner products included in proposals

* Provide assistance to partners where appropriate

* Investigate, evaluate and report on competitor's technical architecture

* Maintain and assist in the development of all technical pre-sales documentation

* Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to help influence product roadmap based on market/customer requirements

* Stay on top of industry news, technology products, platforms and partners to ensure you and your team provide and maintain a deep industry and ecosystem expertise

We ask:

* Knowledge of SaaS, Cloud, Authentication, Web Services, Compliance

* Knowledge of Azure, AWS or other Cloud platforms will be beneficial

* A good understanding and experience of all technologies used to deliver and support mid to enterprise ERP or enterprise business applications

* Demonstrated capacity to absorb new concepts and technologies quickly

* Excellent presentation skills

* Sales focused and commercially aware

* Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as, well as good interpersonal skills

* Have experience of delivering large sophisticated ERP or business applications in diverse and/or complex environments

* Can manage prospects and customers sympathetically, demonstrating commitment and understanding

* Logical thinker with an aptitude for problem solving

* Ability to work under pressure

* Enthusiastic & flexible

* Educated to degree level or equivalent
