Teaching Assistant Specification:

SEND Teaching Assistant: Empowering Learning are looking for an experienced and motivated SEND Teaching Assistant with the ability to support throughout all key stages of the school. The school caters for children aged 2-11 years.

The vacancy provides the opportunity for a qualified, passionate SEND Teaching Assistant to experience an "Outstanding" school and work under a highly supportive leadership team who are striving to keep up the high standard the school has reached.

This is a great opportunity to work within a supportive school network, from colleagues to parents to governors and the wider community.

This is a full-time Teaching Assistant position starting ASAP. If desired this position has the potential to become a permanent position.

School description:

The school is a 2-11 special school for pupils who have statements of special educational needs and mainly on the Autistic spectrum. The school is designated for pupils with moderate learning difficulties; however, the majority of pupils have additional needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties and some behavioural issues.
All pupils are taught in small classes, the majority of which have teaching assistants, in addition to the teacher.

They follow the Team Teach behaviour management system which all staff will be required to attend our team teach course in April or May half term.
