Thompson Commercials Ltd are the UK's largest privately-owned Renault Trucks dealer group with branches in Hull, Rainton, Tyneside, Teesside, Sheffield, Grimsby and Boston. They supply the full range of New Renault and Isuzu Trucks, Pre-Owned Trucks, Trailers and Vans. This is backed up by a very strong Aftersales operation across all branches. They serve a variety of sectors including: Retail, Distribution, Construction, Waste & Recycling, Local Authorities and Emergency Services. Thompson Commercials accounts department has been based at their head office at Sutton Fields in Hull since the building was acquired in late 2017, further illustrating the significant progression of the group. The role of Purchase Ledger Controller has arisen as the company continues to grow and develop.

As the Purchase Ledger you will report to the Group Accountant and be responsible for:

* Invoice inputting and processing

* Supplier statement reconciliations

* Investigating and responding to supplier queries/requests for payment

* Controlling invoice logging system

* Maintaining shared drive logging and control system

* Chasing up departments for authorisation of invoices

* Reports to management on number of invoices in logging system

* Integration of invoices from RTDMS to Dynamics GP accounts system - daily

* Managing/controlling purchase ledger

* Review and prepare monthly BACS payment run with accountant

* Review, maintain and control all accounts within purchase ledger

To be the successful Purchase Ledger Controller, you will have strong computer skills including good IT and spreadsheet skills. You will have strong communications skills dealing with all Thompson Commercials departments, management and suppliers. You will have extensive experience in Purchase Ledger and be able to manage a purchase ledger team.
