Our client is seeking to appoint a Head of IT at their new office, recently opened in Birmingham.

As a key member of their Senior Leadership Team, the post holder will be responsible for the overall IT strategy and IT delivery across the organisation. By managing and maintaining a high calibre IT team, you will promote the vision for IT to support transformation and innovation. You will have overall responsibility for the portfolio of programmes (applications, data, infrastructure) delivering IT strategy to support the business objectives within a fast-changing business environment. You will provide leadership and governance of IT architecture, actively prioritising competing programmes and projects, and be responsible for setting significant IT budgets and acquiring and negotiating high value IT contracts.

About you:

The successful candidate will have significant leadership experience in a senior IT management role. You will be able to challenge others to develop as leaders whilst serving as a role model and mentor, inspiring the team to attain their goals and pursue excellence. You will have experience of managing a multi-functional technically focused team and be able to manage conflict and communication problems across several sites. You will have a strong understanding of ICT strategy, business technology and its application at all levels.

From a technical standpoint you should be able to demonstrate a track record of success in IT transformation and integration of complex business processes in a fast-paced environment, with a proven ability to architect, design and develop complex management information systems
