Deputy Manager - Residential Childcare - Market Drayton
Salary: GBP21851.00 - GBP25492.00 Per Annum Generous annual leave , occupational sick pay ,Pension , Healthcare
As a deputy manager you will be required to work on a 9-5 basis however will be expected to cover shifts where required.
My client are currently seeking a skilled and experienced deputy home manager to assist in providing effective leadership and management within one of their 8 Bed registered residential homes. The home will provide residential care for girls aged 8 - 18 years old with learning disabilities, Autism and Associated Behavioural Needs.
You will work closely with the registered manager to ensure the delivery of high quality therapeutic care to the young people as part of their integrated service offering. In order to achieve this, you will hold knowledge of PACE model of therapeutic parenting, having used this model in practice. Alongside this, you will also have knowledge of relevant legislation and be confident in your knowledge so that you are able to guide and develop the wider team.
You will work alongside a varied staff team and will form part of the on-shift rota. You will role model the values and expected behaviours at all times and work to ensure these are replicated throughout your team. In conjunction with the home manager, you will assist in developing staff knowledge and understanding in order to safeguard practice and processes. The organisation values the development and progression of staff, and working alongside the Learning and Development team you will actively encourage staff progression and the achievement of appropriate qualifications.
It is essential that you are a highly organised individual as you will be responsible for co-ordinating and taking the lead on carrying out tasks associated to health and fire safety, along with the responsibility for developing staff rotas that meet both care requirements and financial constraints. This financial and commercial awareness will transfer into offering assistance to the home manager with the aim of achieving individual, regional and organisational KPIs and objectives. It is essential that you hold a level 3 Diploma in Health and Social care (Young people).
