An incredible variety of work

The Procurement Compliance team are responsible for supporting the development and implementation of compliance related policies and procedures across all stages of the procurement lifecycle and where relevant the wider HS2 operation. You will build stakeholder confidence by undertaking compliance reviews; identifying improvements to processes and procedures and driving delivery across teams that will in turn help senior colleagues to ensure the success of their projects right across the lifecycle. This role will provide interaction across the Procurement Operations teams and beyond to other functions such as Risk, Finance, Legal and Company Secretariat. Put simply, whichever level you join us at, you'll be a key member of a highly professional team where there will always be a new challenge to explore and a new opportunity to influence.


You'll need impeccable credentials for success

To succeed, you will need effective stakeholder skills to develop relationships based on integrity and respect to investigate processes, be confident in communicating findings to derive solutions and be adept at identifying opportunities for improvement.

In this ever changing environment effective engagement skills together with the ability to identify continuous improvement of processes and procedures, prioritising and managing change are all key. We'll also be looking for an ability to investigate and unpick how things are done to drive compliance and to see the bigger picture. You will get an overview of the whole procurement process and see how these processes interact across the business; using what you learn to fast track your career and become a more rounded professional. Ultimately you'll have fun collaborating and sharing best practice and ideas.
