Spire Parkway in Solihull has an exciting opportunity for a Theatre Practitioner / ODP with a focus on Orthopaedics, to join our experienced and dynamic team. Working with a wide variety of specialisms you will be able to develop your clinical skills in a modern and supportive environment.

Spire Parkway Hospital has just completed a £9 million development programme that included a state-of-the-art Spire Specialist Care Centre and new Endoscopy Suite. It has also seen the total refurbishment of the hospital's 51 bedrooms as well as one of its five operating theatres. The Spire Specialist Care Centre offers treatment for a wide range of cancers as well a Rapid Access Breast Clinic and a One-Stop Haematuria Clinic.

Duties and responsibilities

The Hospital covers a wide variety of surgical procedures; you will assist in Consultant led surgeries that vary in complexity and specialism. As a Theatre Practitioner you will assess patient's health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload, and develop care plans that are appropriate to the patient, taking into consideration the care pathway, perioperative risks and their wellbeing.

Who we are looking for

Ideally you will be a Registered Nurse/Operating Department Practitioner with Orthopaedic experience and be used to working in teams with minimum supervision. Competent across a range of skills, supported by professional and clinical knowledge acquired through a practitioner qualification, additional training is also desirable.
