We have a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Semi Senior to join a dynamic and vibrant accountancy practice based in Leek, working with a wide range of clients. This is an exciting chance to join a well-respected firm of Accountants.

Job Description:

As an Accounts Semi Senior you will be responsible for preparing accounts (unincorporated and incorporated) from complete or incomplete records as well as making any necessary notes for the attention of your manager.

Duties will include:

* The ideal candidate will be proficient in preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and preferably small companies

* To prepare corporation tax returns

* To prepare income tax returns and accounts

* Bank reconciliations

* Preparation of tax returns for directors and individuals

* Prepare accounts, corporate and individual tax returns

* To efficiently plan jobs for preparation

* Liaising with clients to clear queries before passing file for review

Candidate Requirements:

* Minimum qualification requirement will be AAT (Technical Level). Ideally you will have begun your ACCA/ACA qualification

* Experience in preparing accounts for unincorporated/incorporated businesses

* Have a basic knowledge of tax (corporation tax, income tax and VAT)

* Basic knowledge of main accounting systems in the market place

* To understand and apply basic accountancy ratios

* Be professional and personable with clients and staff alike

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.45am to 5.15pm

Salary: Negotiable

This role would suit people who also have the following experience: Practice Accounts, Accounts Assistant, Assistant Accountant
