Semester Recruitment are working alongside a leading provider of therapeutic residential care, independent education, and integrated clinical services for children and young people with multiple and complex needs.
Established 1985, They deliver a portfolio of specialist services, for young people aged 10-18+, from crisis and assessment placements, through to long-term placements and preparation for independent living.
About the Job
I am currently looking for x2 Deputy Manager in the Market Drayton, Shropshire area to work with children and young people with Learning Disabilities.
On shift - 5 x 48 hour shifts (10 sleep ins) 240 hours plus 5.5 hours office time, totalling 245.5 per month.

  • Support young people with learning disabilities who have complex learning, social, communication and sensory needs.
  • Consistently working to young peoples individual "My Life" plans enabling them to make progress and achieve outcomes agreed.
Responsibilities
Support young people with intermit and personal care in line with their agreed my plan, including washing, dressings, mealtimes and medication.
Safe administration, storage, recording and disposal of medication and keeping updated with changes to health needs.
Always act in the best interests of the young people, this includes when experiencing challenging behavioural incident.
Take responsibility and be accountable for the homes petty cash and ensure financial systems and processes are followed in line with company procedure.
With support from your Line Manager use the home rota to manage your own training commitments and annual leave responsibilities effectively, ensuring that you are proactive and use initiative to ensure that all working hours are used effectively.
You will fully engage with support networks these include supervisions, team meeting and debrief, along with training opportunities. You will learn and develop yourself to be a reflective practitioner who learns from mistakes along with sharing best practice.
The salary for this role is between GBP21,442 and GBP25,994 per annum based on experience and qualification levels. Includes an annual shift allowance of GBP4,000.
