Job Purpose

To assist the Centre Manager with the delivery and development of learning and training to ensure qualification standards are adhered to; specifically to lead on the delivery and development of mobile plant and mandatory training requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

To support the centre manager in the daily running of the centre, including sourcing equipment, effective resource planning and implementing centre strategies and operations.

Specific responsibilities include:

Manage the mobile plant delivery cycle

•Strategic and operational planning of the centres mobile plant training deployment and instructor utilisation

•Monitor and ensure a qualitative approach to all customer training requirements

•Assist in the development of processes and systems to maintain, monitor and evaluate training interventions

•Drive for continuous centre improvement

Research & Continued professional development

•Identify and keep up to date with national, regional and local standards relevant to workforce development

•Contributory responsibility for developing policy relating to the training of staff

•Research and organise the modification of course content to continually reflect on current best practice


•Liaise with education and training establishments and partnerships as required

•Liaise with other departments to map learning and development needs

•Negotiate and contract with other agencies to support the delivery of learning and development programmes


•Facilitate group and individual tutorials

•Undertake other duties appropriate to the post


•Assessing qualification D32/D33, A1/A2 or Award in Education

•Previous Experience in managing delivery of mobile plant training

•Project management experience

•Skilled auditor

•Analytical skills are needed to interpret complex information

•Planning and problem solving skills

•Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

•IT Literate
