EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT REQUIRED FOR A MAY START - BASED IN BIRMINGHAM GBP30,000 - GBP33,000 PER ANNUM DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE + BENEFITS + FREE PARKING!

My client is one of the largest suppliers within their industry and supply to over 40 countries worldwide, they are now looking to recruit an Executive Assistant to the Chairman. This is a key position and would demand an experienced candidate who has worked at board level supporting CEO/Directors with a day to day varied workload. The ideal candidate would have worked for a blue-chip business and have the work ethic and personality that would match a business that has a corporate image with a very family orientated approach. You will need to have at least intermediate MS Office skills to fulfil the role and an ability to work in a demanding pressured environment. [ The role ]

- All round secretarial support and dealing with information of a confidential nature
- Copy typing documentation using Word
- Producing reports using Excel/PowerPoint presentations as required
- Arranging meetings, events and appointments and taking minutes at board level
- Filtering calls to the chairman and assisting where necessary
- Diary management
- Prioritising meetings and correspondence
- Arranging travel/accommodation
- Liaison with customers, suppliers and stakeholders (overseas and domestic)
- Assisting with project work and research as required
- To deal with people in a pleasant manner, but firmly, in achieving objectives set by the Chairman
- Working with group directors and stakeholders
- Preparing documentation for board meetings
- Sitting in on meetings where applicable (in the absence of the chairman)
- Monthly newsletter creation and distribution
- Organise events (corporate hospitality)

- IT skills, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Highly competent typing skills
- Flexibility on hours
