Reporting to the Home Manager, you will play a vital role in delivering a high quality service and developing our staff team.
This is the perfect role for a 1st level Registered Nurse (holding a valid PIN) who is an experienced care team supervisor and is now ready for lead responsibility as part of continuing professional development.
Your respect for older people is equally important. This is the perfect role if you have experience working at a senior level within a nursing home.
A Nursing qualification with current PIN is essential for this role.
For more information about the role please review the Job Description here.
Please note that interviews may take place prior to the advert closing as and when suitable applications are received. If a suitable candidate is appointed the role may close early, therefore please do not hesitate to submit your application.
Briar Hill House is situated within landscaped grounds that once belonged to a cottage hospital. The home was opened in the knowledge that local residents were unhappy to see their hospital closed down.
The nursing home became part of MHA in 2005 and provides care for people with complex nursing needs including younger people with physical disabilities. Briar Hill works, for example, with residents with spinal or head injuries and residents whose lungs require mechanical ventilation. Typically, the home will also be involved in patient rehabilitation, enabling residents to return to their own home environment. This area of work is very specialised, requiring higher staffing levels and expertise, and is undertaken in partnership with the local Primary Care Trust.
Whatever the physical needs, Briar Hill works to provide care in a comfortable, purpose-built environment, and to offer a welcoming atmosphere where residents, their friends and family, can socialise and truly feel at home.

Pension, 30 days holiday (inc. bank holidays), Life Assurance, Discount Scheme, free uniform and DBS provided.
