Director of Finance

The main responsibilities of the Director of Finance include:*Undertake a review of all current policies and procedures with a view to revamping and updating the majority of them.*Work with a brand new CEO to set a new financial strategy for the charity.*Manage the finance team on a day to day practice ensuring best practice is achieved.*Work with the other departments and CEO to encourage a dynamic team and less silo working.*Challenge the status quo and bring new ideas to the organisation for new ways of working and areas of improvements at all levels.*Ensure all finance related tasks are completed to the agreed deadlines e.g. monthly management accounts and statutory accounts. *Engage with all areas of the business and ensure commercial decisions are present.This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a change environment. There are changes required both in a short time frame as well as a changes that require a longer term view. The successful candidate will:*Be a qualified accountant.*Managed staff previously.*Operated at Director of Finance level previously or looking to step up to this level.*Have either worked within the charity sector or has an understand of church finance (e.g. treasurer of a local church etc)*Embrace change and has previous change/ transformation experience.The role is located in beautiful offices and the organisation truly encourages a work life balance.
