My client is currently seeking an experienced Business Analyst who has the ability to interpret business requirements using data available to them.

The main purpose of the role is to manage and develop the bridge between IM&T services and the greater business stakeholders to improve the interface to enable a quicken adoption for analyses of requirements between the business organisation and the design of our technical systems, business models, processes and strategic business needs. This is a business analyst role and will be responsible for discovering the actual needs of the stakeholders and not just what they desire.

Developing technical solutions to business problems, and to advance the company's implementation of functional and cost efficient efforts, assisting with defining, analyzing and documenting requirements while assisting with the delivery of the business case through to final delivery.

Although good IT skills including experience of ERP systems this is very much a Business requirement role rather than an IT one.

Role Responsibilities:

1 Communicate with stakeholders to understand their requirements, while gathering feedback from end users to continue improving our systems.

2 Work with external stakeholders to understand and investigate feedback into the service, function or product provided (experience of Microsoft Dynamics solution is essential).

3 Use data modelling practices to analyse findings and create suggestions for strategic and operational improvements and changes.

4 Consider opportunities and potential risks attached to suggestions you make.

5 Identify the processes and information technology required to introduce your recommendations.

6 Gain agreement, from senior management, of the best method of introducing recommendations to the business.

7 Design efficient IT systems to meet business and technology needs. Producing written documentation to support all work, report on your findings and to present to stakeholders when necessary.

8 Develop and analyze functional specifications.

9 Communicate the benefits of recommendations across business stream departments and help to address any uncertainty and concerns.

10 Coordinate developers to build and implement technology solutions.

11 Integrate multiple systems and reconcile needs of different teams.

12 Gather feedback from end users about system performance.

13 Work with management teams to prioritize business and information needs.

14 Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing assistance to BI teams.

15 Demonstrate proven capability for planning and overseeing project implementations covering Microsoft Dynamics (e.g. upgrades, hardware/software installations).

16 Provide advice and technical training across all business platform areas.

17 Keep abreast of technology trends and developments to align with future digital approaches.

Person specification:

1 Proven experience as an IT Analyst, IT Consultant or similar role with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of leadership to meet specific service requirements.

2 Proven knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Software (covering functional experience of Finance and Trade & Logistics modules).

3 Experience in project management principles and techniques. Knowledge of Incident, and Change Management processes and tools.

4 Knowledge of databases, system security and troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques for anticipating, recognizing, and resolving technical problems.

5 Understanding of business practices.

6 Planning and organization skills: Excellent communication and customer care skills (written and oral)

7 Analytical mindset, with strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

8 Problem-solving aptitude.

9 Motivated self-starter who will take ownership with a strong interest in business and business development.

10 The ability to work under pressure on multiple projects within project timeframes.

11 A passion for creating solutions with a positive attitude to change.

12 Ability to be flexible and maintain a professional demeanour when dealing with tight deadlines, sensitive business issues, and emergency situations on an ongoing basis.

13 ITIL Foundation.

14 Certification against a recognisable Business Analysis professional body.
