Accounts Assistant - Birmingham

Our client a leading nationwide services provider based in Birmingham, are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a permanent basis due to continued expansion.

As an Accounts Assistant, you main tasks and responsibilities include:

  • assemble, review and verify invoices
  • entry and unloading of invoices
  • reconcile accounts payable accounts
  • monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
  • research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
  • correspond with suppliers and respond to queries
  • help maintain supplier accounts and related information
  • maintain procedures and ensure invoices processed correctly and swiftly
  • willingness to learn other procedures and aid other departments to ensure resolution of problems and ensure efficient processing of invoices

In order to be successful in this role you must have the following experience:

  • knowledge of Accounts Payable
  • knowledge of general accounting procedures
  • knowledge of relevant accounting software (Sage 200 or sage packages)
  • proficient in data entry and time management
  • 2 years plus accounts payable or general accounting experience

Our client is looking to pay a salary of GBP20,000 - GBP22,000 for the right candidate with a competitive benefits package included.
