You will be responsible for the day to day management and maintenance of the IT infrastructure and ongoing migration of critical data between core systems.
You will be involved with all IT technical project work, leading the cloud migration project technical delivery and help to support the helpdesk team in a 2nd/3rd line capacity.
You will work closely with the Head of IT / IT Director to plan core team deliverables, oversee business Continuity, disaster recovery management, and testing and articulate risks and recommendations to key stakeholders within the business.
You will have substantial experience of managing the network and server infrastructure within a substantial organisation.
You will be totally familiar with virtualisation technologies, including both VMware and Microsoft variants and HA features, storage technologies, including strong understanding of iSCSI and NFS protocols. Your network technology knowledge must include Cisco and HP ProCurve, VPN and remote access technologies.
You will be experienced with Microsoft infrastructure technologies (Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, WDS, WSUS, KMS, Exchange, SQL Server, IIS, etc.), IP telephony implementation and management, including ISDN and SIP circuitry and application deployment methodologies.
Citrix XenDesktop infrastructure, both VDI and RDS environments, thin and thick PC end user compute deployment, WAN technologies such as MPLS, leased lines and xDSL circuits, physical infrastructure cabling and patching and PowerShell scripting.
You will be familiar with backup and replication technologies such as SAN-to-SAN, software-based and off-site, roaming User Profile management, Firewall profiling, best practice and traffic management, log shipping and analysis and Microsoft PKI infrastructure.
The salary is GBP 35,000 p.a. annum and there is an outstanding range of benefits.
