Pensions Research Assistant - Salary GBP20,000 - GBP25,000 DOE + Pension + Excellent Benefits

Based: Bromsgrove

Our client, a partner-led business which prides itself in providing straight forward and well communicated pension advice have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Pensions Research Assistant. This position primarily supports the Actuarial Consulting practice area to ensure that consultants and clients are kept informed of legislative and regulatory developments.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver legislative intelligence to the business via Yammer, Intranet, written reports, emails

* Delivery of industry updates including drafting blog posts, information sheets and training materials

* Drive written briefings, blog posts, opinion pieces and training slide decks for the team/consultants

* Work directly with other practice areas to develop information/training resources

* Ensure that trustee consultants are equipped with up-to-date technical knowledge for meetings

* Drive client actions where required on scale

* Collate viewpoints internally and externally to aid preparation of consultation responses

* Manage a database of consultation responses across the wider business

* Support ad-hoc research projects for marketing and business development purposes

* Provide a link-up with research teams operating in other fee-earning practice areas

* Provide a link-up with the marketing and campaigns team to prepare and advise on content

* Outsources skills externally to political and industry bodies, in order to generate income

* Support, Implement and Maintain Information Security procedures

Essential Skills and Experience:

* Good academic record including Maths & English to GCSE or equivalent in subjects requiring communication in technical language (English, humanities and sciences)

* Previous experience of working in a communications drafting role, within a professional environment

* Experience working with public/private sector pension arrangements (advantageous)

* Must be a self-starter, highly organised, and able to work well with colleagues

* Outstanding copywriting and communication skills (essential)

* High level of IT literacy including; Microsoft Office programmes, Excel, Word, Outlook & Windows

* PMI, Marketing or Communications qualification (advantageous)
