Job Purpose

This role is responsible for the management of the Interserve user estate of roughly 12,000 employees including, but not limited to, patching, application and OS and deployment, mobile management, monitoring, compliance, Office 365 and AD management.

What we are looking for:

  • Knowledge and experience of MS Operating systems, configuration and functionality from Windows XP to Windows 10 (install, modify, troubleshoot)
  • Knowledge and experience of PC and mobile device hardware, component replacement, updating, fault finding.
  • Knowledge and experience of MS Active Directory functionality, group policy creation and maintenance
  • Knowledge and experience of supporting MS Server operating systems and administration
  • Knowledge and experience of supporting and administering Office 365
  • Knowledge and experience of MS Exchange functionality and administration, Exchange 2007 to Exchange Online
  • Knowledge and experience of device build and deployment platforms (SCCM/MDM/MDT) maintenance of deployment methodologies
  • Knowledge and experience of supporting mobile devices with an MDM solution and the maintenance of MDM system
  • Knowledge and experience of software packaging and deployment (PC and mobile device)
  • Knowledge and experience of basic network topology types and connectivity models
  • Knowledge and experience of common desktop application sets (MS Office, Adobe suites, Autodesk applications)
  • Knowledge and experience of data analyse from various inventory/administration systems for reporting and supporting tasks
  • Knowledge and experience of working with script based tools like PowerShell, applying scripts for information retrieval, systems support, production tasks and task automation
  • Ability to work as part of a team and work alone on designated tasks/projects
  • Assist with root cause analyse investigation and reporting
  • Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to produce technical documents to support systems, end user/customer focused documentation and support team documentation
  • Proven experience of supporting customers in an corporate environment and support corporate roll out projects
  • Provide SME level support to IT support teams and project tasks where required
