Marketing Communications Manager

Salary up to £40k


Our client is one of the leading players in a primary manufacturing sector. This international business is expanding through a series of acquisitions and the business is now looking to support the UK Head Office with a Marketing Communications Manager. This is a newly created role at a time of high growth and the successful candidate will be central in ensuring the business achieves its ambitious growth targets for the next 5 years.

The position will appeal to someone with a vast amount of experience in a B2B communications role. This division interfaces with a number of European countries and has clients across the world so the desire to work in a global organisation will be important.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing an exciting and engaging communications plan which matches with corporate communications ambitions and objectives
  • Supporting business development as a communications advisor, ensuring commercial teams become increasingly well-equipped in their own communication skills
  • Owning the delivery of the marketing plan including the production of materials across diverse channels including digital, video, print, conferences, networking and events to agreed timescales
  • Managing the allocated budget for the agreed activities, ensuring best value for money is achieved for the agreed spend and updating with amendments in a timely and transparent way
  • Evaluating and reporting back on activities in order to shape future activities and where necessary reallocate spend

Key Skills:

  • You will be able to evidence significant marketing experience in a similar B2B environment
  • You will be an original thinker able to suggest solutions to problems, anticipate objections and overcome opposition
  • You will have exceptional listening skills, able to interpret the needs of non-marketers and go the extra mile in understanding the needs of colleagues in other international markets
  • You will be a natural self-starter happy to contribute to developing plans but above all being solution-orientated and keen to deliver on what has been promised

The role is based out of Derby and international travel will be an integral part of the role
