Traffic Design Services Engineer, MOVA, SCOOT, TECHNICAL, VALIDATION)

Working as part of an established design team and reporting to the Design Services Manager, you will deliver traffic signal design projects for a number of different customers nationally. You will have had experience of the traffic signal design process from conception to completion and a good knowledge of current technical standards.

What will you be responsible for?

* Undertake feasibility assessments, analysis, preliminary and details design.

* Undertake on-site inspections, surveys and commissionings

* Undertake MOVA and SCOOT Validations

* Preparation of technical designs in-line with approved design procedures

* Preparation of technical specifications and documents

* Health, safety and environmental awareness - reporting any incidents

* Attend meetings with clients and ensure clients are receiving a high level of service

What experience/ behaviours are telent looking for?

* Highly motivated individual who demonstrates a professional attitude

* Good communication skills are essential, along with a positive approach to meet the demands of the business and customer requirements

* Flexible approach to work and be prepared to work away from home on occasions

* Ability to react to changing circumstances and work under pressure

* Proven experience in the traffic industry

* Proven knowledge of design processes and health and safety requirements

* Experience in MOVA and SCOOT projects

* Experience of design standards such as TSRGD, DMRB and the Traffic Signs Manual

* HNC/HND or above in an appropriate discipline is desired but not essential, as level of experience will be taken into account

* Ability to use AutoCAD, Linsig and TRANSYT

* Full UK driving licence - (telent's customer base in nationwide and you will be required to travel)
