2nd Line Field Engineer - Birmingham and Alcester - ASAP - up to GBP28,000

We are looking for a fantastic 2nd Line Field Engineer for an opportunity based in Birmingham and Alcester. With a diverse range of people and various technologies to work with, this is a role which will never get boring.

You will be working primarily with the following technologies and possess key competencies in:
??Active Directory
??Group Policy
??Microsoft Exchange Server
??Windows 7,8,10
??Networking: LAN/WAN
??Minimum MCP, MCITP, A+, CCENT
??Installation and configuration of peripheral devices
??Understanding of support team/department working practices.


As a field engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the quality of the end user experience, acting as an effective point of contact from the business to the business customer while ensuring customer service standards represent value to the business. You will be providing support to 2 key clients splitting your time 50/50 between the two offices in Birmingham and Alcester.

??At least 1-2 years' experience in a 1st Line client facing role.
??Minimum of MCP, MCITP, A+ AND CCENT.
??CCNA would be beneficial.
??Good hardware knowledge - Laptop's, PC's, Servers and Printers.
??Experience of the installation and configuration of peripheral devices; e.g. Network Printers, ADSL Routers, and LAN Switches.

Their technical support staff are all required to regularly attend training courses with their wide range of software and hardware partners, as well as courses for their professional development such as project management courses, ITIL qualification and advanced customer service certification.
Beyond this, they also support the Sales and Marketing team as they continue their personal development by working towards industry qualifications in IT solutions sales and product training courses.
They also operate a successful apprentice scheme, encouraging young and inexperienced people with the right attitude, to join the company and work towards gaining real industry experience as well as valuable qualifications. This role will give you great exposure to different technologies, environments and sectors; always be learning!
