Book-keeper, 15 hours per week, hours to suit both parties. Up to GBP23-GBP25k pro rata

A design and rebrand company, based in Kenilworth (The Midlands) urgently require an accurate, efficient book-keeper to work 15 hours per week, hours to suit both parties, to manage and process the finances of the company.

A list of key tasks and responsibilities are noted below, and the candidate will be required to provide administrative support when required.

Candidate must have good experience as a book-keeper with experience of the duties listed below. An ability to work quickly and accurately is essential, along with good EXCEL and PC skills. Candidates are to have experience of the Sage 50 accounting software.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of Accounts to Trial Balance
  • Preparation of monthly Management Accounts including P&L and Balance Sheets Inputting and maintaining the Sales & Purchase ledgers
  • Control & maintenance of the nominal ledger
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Accruals & Prepayments
  • Preparation & submission of VAT returns / EU sales monthly report / HMRC Tax
  • Management of Credit Card statements and receipts
  • Debt chasing
  • Journal Postings
  • Sending sales invoices to clients
  • Cashflow Finance

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Prior Book-keeping & Management Accounts experience
  • Working knowledge of Sage 50
  • Strong reconciliation skills
  • Excellent eye for detail
  • Logical and systematic approach
  • Numerate
  • Ability to use initiative
  • Excellent communication skills
