The Disability Resource Centre (DRC) is one of the leading disability organisations operating in Birmingham, Solihull and the wider West Midlands.

Our mission is 'to build a sustainable business to empower disabled people to take control of their own lives and to actively seek out opportunities to achieve their full potential as individuals in mainstream society'. This is at the heart of everything we do.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our forward-thinking organisation to support disabled people and those with long-term health conditions to better manage their personal finances and improve their quality of life.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and results-driven candidate to provide information, advice and guidance to disabled and vulnerable people on a wide range of issues including budgeting, welfare entitlement, basic financial numeracy, switching utilities and access to local services with a view to them building a more fulfilling, financially secure future for themselves and their families. This role would suit candidates with consumer rights and advocacy experience.

The project will be delivered through a combination of workshops, one-to-one support and informal training courses in Birmingham, Solihull and the Black Country.
